Everett L. Glenn, President

Everett L. Glenn was Managing Partner and CEO of Entertainment & Sports Plus (“ESP”), a Southern California-based athlete and entertainment management firm with offices in Atlanta, Georgia and Cleveland, Ohio. ESP represents professional athletes, entertainers, entertainment companies and related talent in contract negotiations and provides advice and counsel on related business and personal matters.

A member of the State Bar of California since 1979, Mr. Glenn also serves in an Of Counsel capacity with the law firm of Alvarado, Smith, the largest certified minority law firm in California. Before establishing ESP, Mr. Glenn served as Deputy City Attorney for the City of Long Beach responsible for all real estate development matters affecting the Long Beach Airport and the Port of Long Beach; the technology services department on all telecommunications matters including cable television; and the housing services bureau on the acquisition, rehabilitation and construction of over $100 million in affordable housing developments. Prior to joining the City of Long Beach, Mr. Glenn served as Senior Attorney in the Asset Management and Disposition section of the Resolution Trust Corporation, and provided advice and counsel to asset management firms on all matters relating to the management and disposition of over $560 billion in assets of failed savings and loans. Mr. Glenn began his legal career in San Francisco with Heller, Ehrman, White & McAuliffe, then one of the 50 largest law firms in the world.

Everett is a member of the State Bar of California and Ohio. He is a NFL and NBA certified contract advisor, having represented over 30 professional athletes (13 first round draft picks) in contract negotiations and related business and personal matters, among them Gill Byrd, Richard Dent, Willie Gault, Clark Kellogg, Jerry Rice, Reggie White and John L. Williams. He received his B.A. from Oberlin College in 1974 and his J.D. from Case-Western Reserve University in 1977, where he concentrated his studies on business organizations and commercial business transactions.

 

Sheila Gilmore, Chief Marketing Officer

Gilmore is a marketing and advertising executive with over 22 years of experience in strategic planning, brand and campaign management, creative services, direct response marketing, event planning, market research, product development, and database management. She began her career with Valley Cable in Los Angeles, CA and held positions of increasing responsibility in the marketing and sales area, culminating with the launch of her company, the Gilmore Group, a full-service marketing and advertising company specializing in integrated marketing solutions to a diverse roster of clients in the entertainment, corporate and non-profit sectors.

Prior to launching her company, Gilmore was the divisional vice president, sales and marketing for Charter Communications.  In this role she was responsible for the strategic development and implementation of the day-to-day marketing activities for all product lines and sales channels in the division, serving over 1.1 million customers in California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and Texas.  In this role, Gilmore also made all programming selection for the Division.

Prior to joining Charter Communications, Gilmore was the director of acquisition for Time Warner Cable Los Angeles.  She was responsible for all acquisitions efforts for Time Warner’s cable systems serving communities in the West San Fernando Valley, The City of San Fernando, Canyon Country, South Pasadena and San Marino, Orange County and South Bay.  Gilmore was responsible for the successful launch of digital services to the systems’ over 350,000 customers in the Los Angeles area, resulting in new offerings including digital cable services, video on demand, high definition, and high speed data.

Gilmore played an integral part in the Time Warner marketing organization where they consistently posted among the highest customer growth rates with the entire cable division.  In fact, as a result of her marketing activities the West Valley cable system achieved the highest customer penetration levels, at 63%, of any franchise area in the City of Los Angeles.

Additionally, Gilmore gives generously of her time to support a variety of charitable and civic causes.  It is through her leadership in this area that she has become a preferred partner in collaborating for community and corporate events.

 

Jumane Redway, Director, Programs

Jumane Redway, Director of Programs, holds a law degree and an MBA from the University of Oregon. During his time there, he was a member of the business school’s sports marketing group, director of the law school’s sports and entertainment forum, and commissioner of a basketball league for graduate students.

His graduate experience includes: a consulting project with Nike/SPARQ, a venture capital study for a summer basketball league, and authoring a legal study on the use of dispute resolution in new sports facility construction.

His post-graduate experience includes work with Kaplan, Inc., the Los Angeles Clippers, and as a basketball analyst for the NBA Finals.

Prior to graduate school he worked as a middle and high school teacher in the city of Los Angeles.
