Business Ready Scholarships
In order to educate a ne
w generation of students who elect to return “home” after graduation to apply their community development and entrepreneurial skills toward establishing businesses and creating jobs in the Black community, the Authority will fund “Business Ready Scholarships” for students interested in the $500 billion per year sports business industry and who attend a historically Black college or university. The Authority’s “Business Ready Scholarships” will consist of the following:
- 4-year grants for $10,000 per year awarded to students attending an affiliated HBCU
- Requires a minor in Business Administration or Entrepreneurial Sciences
- Requires a commitment to return “home” for a period of two (2) years after graduation for placement in a position that will better equip the graduate to become a job producer rather than job a seeker
