Programs

The National Sports Authority has developed exclusive specialty programs that will positively impact enrollment, graduation rates and the financial stability of HBCUs. Considering the complexion of sports at every level, we believe that specialty programs developed around sports and entrepreneurship will enable HBCUs to cement their place in the higher education arena as the go-to institutions for in-demand Black talent. Through our Business of Sport Success program and the Online Sports Management and Entrepreneurship curriculums we are developing, the Authority will help HBCUs develop an expertise and curriculum for career and entrepreneurial opportunities in the sports business industry. Through our Business Ready Scholarships and HBCU Facility Grants, the Authority will help HBCUs increase their capacity and regain their place among colleges of choice for Black students.

The programs and strategies we have developed at the Authority will also help Black businesses and organizations identify and pursue opportunities in the sports business industry at the collegiate and professional levels including general contractors, subcontractors, architectural and engineering firms, and furniture, fixture and equipment providers, all of which will promote economic development in our community. Beyond construction, the Authority is committed to helping Black businesses and organizations gain access to contract opportunities in asset management, computer peripherals, custodial/janitorial services, data storage/backup, IT, laboratory services, landscape contractors, landscape managers, and other associated landscape professionals, laundering services, legal services, maintenance, new printer/copiers, office equipment, furniture and supplies, real estate services, shipping, social media, skilled trades (HVAC, electrical and plumbing), telecommunications and waste/trash removal.
